Greg Copeland

Since 1987, Greg has been the CEO and President of FileBank Inc. A former graphic artist, he followed his passion for organization--first by attending New York University's Stern School of Business for his MBA. He then completed courses in document and information management at Columbia University.
Greg began his career as an artist with offices in Paterson, NJ. When a fire destroyed the New York City Opera's storage facility, Greg offered them storage space in his building. That first client launched Copeland's new business in the document management industry. In the late 1990s, Greg searched for property where he could build a secure and state-of-the-art facility. In 2004, after a long search for the perfect site, FileBank opened its new archive center in Oakland. Over time, Copeland added services such as scanning, shredding, and data hosting to adapt to new customer needs Recently, FileBank added unique benefits, such as FileBank's flagship, Jump to Digital solution, which makes clients' lives easier by preserving their assets, eliminating worry about the safety of their stored documents, and eliminating the inability to find a record when needed. FileBank added two additional flagship programs designed to organize and digitize documents online: Instant Access and File Management. Married for 47 years, with two children and five grandchildren, and their Golden Retriever, Samson, Greg, now 82, has a passion for cars. In 1988 he bought a Porsche Turbo for $37,500. Once Greg paid this off, he decided to trade it in for another vehicle. It was in mint condition, and believing the trade-in value was too low, Greg kept it and bought another Porsche Turbo. When he paid off that loan, he retained that Porsche as well and then bought a Ferrari. Greg enjoys taking good care of his cars and is pleased to say that each one of his prized vehicles has won the Concours d'Elegance award. It's easy to see how well Greg treats his cars and the similarity with how he treats his customers. |
